My beloved wolfdog passed away a few years ago.  Cody was twelve years old when he died, and given the life expectancy for big dogs, twelve years is a pretty good run.   I feel fortunate that we had that much time together... but that doesn't make me miss him any less.

Cody was my son, my brother and my best friend all rolled up in one furry package.

It hurt to say good-bye...  it hurt real bad.

So I turned to words to help heal the pain. I wrote Cody stories and shared them with internet friends. They gave me a cyber-shoulder to cry on. I kept telling tale after tale of our adventures together and someone suggested I save them in a journal. As I began printing them out, I was amazed at how many stories I had.

I hadn't realized how much life Cody and I shared over those magical years.

My journal kept growing and one day I realized I had enough material for a book. Three months after Cody passed away, I sat down and started writing Twelve Years With a Wolfdog. Two years later, it's finally complete.

I'm no Shakespeare,  so don't expect anything fancy, but over the years I've found that I can tell a good story.

I'd like to share our life and adventures with you and I know Cody would like that, too.  So if you'll pull up a chair by the campfire, I will tell you a tale about a  man and his wolfdog... and how the wolfdog changed the man's life in so many ways.

Through this book, Cody will live on... in my heart...  and I think in yours, too.
